PROJECT EXPERIENCE

My name is April Keller.

I am a lifelong, born & raised Alaskan who moved to Wisconsin via a 14-month detour in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I have been a single mom for 20+ years; homeschooled my children for 15+ years, while working full-time from home. Life has a way of changing. My oldest is married and gave me my first grandchild in 2023; and my youngest graduated from college in 2022. I have been working full-time outside of the home since December 2019; and in June 2020, I finished my BA in Graphic Design & Media Arts.

I enjoy creating in a variety of ways.

Mostly I love to put words, colors & fonts together. I want & need to make words & information pretty – whether it’s for print or web.

When I’m not spending time with my children or creating graphics, I spend my free time reading, sewing, painting (the kind on doors/furniture/walls), and taking photographs. I want to learn how to watercolor. I have the paper, paint, and brushes….

A few of my favorite things.

Colors.

Lots & lots of colors. I love all things color.

Symbols.

Especially the ampersand.

Ink.

The smell. The feel. The look.

Paper.

The feel. The smell.

Polka Dots & Stripes.

In soft shades of all the colors.

You may not be the first to say it, write, create it, or believe it – but you saying it may be the first time someone finally hears. … There is nothing new to say. Say it anyway.
